Rev. Dennis Alan Roberts-Fulbright dedicated over 40 years of his life to ministry, serving churches across Colorado, Iowa, Oklahoma, California, Kansas, and Nebraska. A passionate preacher, teacher, and musician, he wrote his own songs to express his reflections on scripture and the teachings of Christ, using music as a means to inspire and uplift.

Dennis Alan Fulbright was born in Lamar, Colorado and grew up in Springfield, Colorado. At age nine, Dennis started learning to play the guitar and soon after started playing and singing in churches. He accepted Christ as his Savior January 13, 1975. Dennis began to write songs having a passion for performing his own music.
At the age of 18, he and his family moved to Oklahoma. There he made many Christian friends, and helped begin a new church that was non-denominational. The church grew over a period of two years from 38 to over 200 people. From the beginning Dennis was a worship leader and became an associate pastor. He traveled with the senior pastor and participated in many revivals through Oklahoma and West Texas.
Dennis went on to college to earn his B.A. in Religion. At college he met and later married his wife, Pamela. While doing pulpit supply he was called to serve as pastor of First Christian Church in Kinsley, Kansas. Two years later he went on to seminary where he received his M.Div. at Phillips Graduate Seminary, Enid, Oklahoma. During the spring of his graduation Dennis was ordained Feb. 20, 1994 by the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Kansas.
Dennis has served churches in Kansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Colorado and California. He retired from ministry in 2021 before taken a part-time pulpit at a small church in Shubert, NE. Now over forty years later Dennis still remembers his call at an early age, remembering when he took the words of Jesus to heart.
In 2021, Rev. Fulbright (Dr. DARF) co-hosted The Religion Punk podcast with his daughter, Beth, tackling challenging biblical topics with depth, wisdom, and authenticity. The podcast is now being rebranded under Jesus Connection Ministries, continuing his mission of making scripture accessible and thought-provoking for all.

Jesus Connection Ministry* began as a Bible study group founded by Rev. Fulbright and a close circle of friends in the early 2000s. What started as a single ministry has grown into a shared calling, led by two dedicated leaders and shaped by a continued passion for connecting people with the Word of God. It is an honor to carry forward Rev. Fulbright’s legacy under the new name, Jesus Connection Ministries, as we expand our mission to share the love of Christ through teaching, outreach, and service.
Rev. Fulbright passed away March 2025. His legacy lives on through his sermons, writings, and prayers, which Beth now curates and shares on this blog. His teachings remain a source of guidance and inspiration, ensuring that his voice and devotion to faith continue to resonate with those seeking a deeper understanding of Christ’s message.
Matthew 9:36–38 (KJV 1900) 36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; 38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
About the Jesus Connection Ministries Team:
Welcome to Jesus Connection Ministries. This blog is a heartfelt tribute to Rev. Fulbright’s legacy, curated by devoted wife, Pamela, and their daughter, Bethanie. Here, you’ll find a collection of inspiring sermons and uplifting music created during Rev. Fulbright’s many years of dedicated ministry before his passing in 2025.
The bulk of this blog is managed by Bethanie who spent many years under the mentorship of her father and had spent several years dreaming up ways to collaborate with him to bring his sermons and music into the world. Before his passing, Bethanie and Rev. Fulbright (Dr. DARF) managed a podcast which was on a temporary hiatus as they worked on a collection of sermons over the book of Genesis for publication.
Bethanie is a spiritual content creator, homeschooling mom, and lifelong student of God’s truth. She was raised in the Christian faith and continues to hold closely to its traditional roots — the teachings of Jesus, the wisdom of Scripture, and the importance of living a life grounded in love, humility, and service. Her journey has led me to explore spirituality beyond the walls of organized religion, seeking deeper, more personal ways to connect with God.
Bethanie is currently earning degrees through the University of Metaphysical Sciences — a path that, while different from Rev. Fulbright’s journey through a traditional seminary, reflects the same deep commitment to faith, lifelong learning, and a call to spiritual service. Like her father, who spent decades in ministry, Bethanie felt called to help others grow in truth and love — just through a broader lens that includes metaphysical science, energy, intuition, and holistic wisdom.
The blog posts you’ll find here are often based on the sermons written by Rev. Fulbright, over the past 45+ years. His words have deeply influenced Bethanie’s spiritual journey. While she agrees with most of his opinions, any personal views that differ will be clearly noted as her own. This platform is a blend of his timeless wisdom and her own path of spiritual growth and exploration — hence the name Jesus Connection “Ministries”, as this blog reflects both their ministry work.
Here, we share reflections, scriptures, and spiritual resources that support healing, connection, and soul-led living — all rooted in Christian values, led by Spirit, and grounded in love.
